Cooking & Serving
I love it when people use my pottery. It is highly functional in the oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Cook in it and move it to your dinner table for a beautiful presentation of your casseroles, veggie dishes, platters, pie plates.
Pottery likes to change temperatures slowly, so be sure to place hot items on a trivet and bring cold items to room temperature and put into a warm, not hot oven. When treated carefully, your pottery serving pieces will last a lifetime.

October 10, 2020Hi,
Do you do commission pottery works?
And if so, could we order a couple cazuela pots in a traditional Mexican style that we can use on a gas stovetop?
Thank you,
Matt

October 26, 2020Hi Matt,
Thanks for your enquiry. Yes I do commission work, but no, I can’t make you a piece that can be cooked over an open flame. Most pottery does not withstand thermal shock – which is extreme heat fluxuation. I understand the Mexican pottery is unglazed earthenware and am not sure how it stands up to such cooking. However, I would be delighted to make you the same style dish, but it would have to be cooked in the oven, not on a stovetop. Please email me if you need more information.
Cheers,
Peggy
