Another New Gallery

So far, this has been a wild and crazy summer for me and I am loving it! You will remember from previous blogs, that I have recently placed my work in several new galleries across Vancouver Island.

Last week Raintree Studio became my newest outlet. This lovely seaside gallery is on the scenic highway north of Qualicum Beach. Greg and Joan Swainson just opened this year and have been enjoying alot of success. In fact, I sold a piece the very first day my display went up! I am featuring my sapphire glazed stoneware such as the vase on the left, as well as a selection of crystalline glazed pieces.

Raintree Studio is set in a lovely natural garden filled with outdoor art. Gardening is a passion of Greg and Joan and they obviously put their heart and souls into it.  The gallery is designed to blend the art with garden and ocean views, creating a wonderfully tranquil experience.

The gallery showcases Greg’s watercolour paintings as well as those of other local artists Susan Schaefer, Elke van Breemen, Roberta Mebs and glass blowers Cherie Hemmingsen and Bob Mcloud. They are open spring until fall,  Thursday to Sunday, 12pm to 5pm, so it might be wise to call ahead before you make the trip.
